How to make Overnight Oats?
Overnight oats are made using oats and fruit, mixed with fat-free yoghurt, keeping them low-calorie and syn-free on the SW diet. If more sweetness is desired, use sweetener and vanilla essence.

Slimming World Overnight Oats with Raspberry
Equipment
Ingredients
- 40 grams Oats - Any oats can be used (see post for more detail)
- 140 grams Fat-free Yoghurt - plain (use soya or coconut yoghurt for vegan friendly option)
- 8 Raspberries - Fresh or Frozen
- 100 ml Coconut milk - Or any other milk or 60ml more yoghurt instead
- 1 teaspoon Sweetener
- 1 splash Vanilla Extract - or prefered flavouring
Instructions
- Place 40 grams Oats, and 140 grams Fat-free Yoghurt into a lidded container.

- Then add 8 Raspberries, 100 ml Coconut milk, 1 teaspoon Sweetener, and 1 splash Vanilla Extract.

- Place the lid on top giving a good shake to mix together.Place in the fridge overnight and let the flavours soak into the oats softening them up ready for the next day's breakfast.

- If you like it sweeter then add more sweetener!

- Serve with more fresh fruit.

Use a lidded pot, jar or bowl to layer oats, yoghurt, raspberries, milk, sweetener and give it all a good shake or stir.
Place in the fridge overnight to work its magic! The yoghurt and milk soaks into the oats overnight making a perfect healthy slimming world friendly breakfast.
Eat straight from the pot the next morning, adding extra fruit and sweetener if desired?!
What oats to use?
To make overnight oats, you can use any oats, rolled, quick, Scottish, plain Quaker oats, porridge oats, or instant oats. I use organic rolled oats as I find them the best quality.

You can even use ready brek if you prefer a smoother texture to your overnight oats.
Oats are counted as a Hex B option on the SW Diet.
Yoghurt options?
Overnight oats can be made with yoghurt; experiment with your favourite flavours.

If you're following a low-fat or Slimming World diet, just make sure to use 0% fat / fat-free yogurt to keep the overnight oats syn-free.
If following a vegan lifestyle substitute with a vegan-friendly soya or coconut yoghurt.
Fresh or Frozen fruit?
We used fresh fruit this time but you can use frozen raspberries instead. Mix the frozen berries in at the same time and they will defrost overnight in the yoghurt.

I prefer frozen raspberries when you stir the prepared overnight oats the next morning.
The vibrant colour from the defrosted raspberries in the juices adds extra flavour and a beautiful colour to your breakfast.
Loads of fruits, such as bananas, mangoes, strawberries, blueberries, apples, or pineapple, work well for overnight oats.

Flavouring
We used vanilla extract for an extra sweetness but you can buy so many different extract flavourings, such as lemon, caramel, rose or orange!

Milk
You can add extra yoghurt instead of using milk. But I find adding milk helps to make it not so thick. It comes down to personal preference?
Any milk can be used. I use coconut milk, which works well for anyone following a vegan diet.

You can use normal milk or soya milk instead.
For those following a slimming world diet, the milk will be a small part of your Hex A allowance.
Sweetener
We like to use truvia sweetener made from stevia leaf extract. But you can use any sweetener you prefer.

You may also find it sweet enough (especially if using frozen berries!). Sometimes, it is best to wait until the morning and taste before you add any sweetener!
Overnight Oats recipe ideas
Overnight Oats have endless flavour options! Any fruit, fresh or frozen, can be used, as can different-flavoured yogurt or different flavourings instead of vanilla extract.
I like to serve mine up with more fresh fruit. As seen below with Kiwi, Blueberries and more Raspberries.

Raspberry Overnight Oats on Slimming World are a perfect filling breakfast. It is so nice to roll out of bed and have it ready to eat straight away!
If eating on the go, it is ready to pick up on the way out the door!
Served warm
Of course, if you like a warm breakfast, overnight oats can be heated in the microwave before serving.
Freeze?
You can make a weeks worth of overnight oats breakfast in advance let them soak into the oats overnight and then freeze them.
Overnight oats are best frozen in individual portions, then it is easy to defrost the single portions in the fridge the day before eating.
