Hi, we are Luke and Kay, self-confessed foodies living in Chelmsford, England. Together, we have four children, two dogs and an African land snail.
We met in 2016 through a dating agency, we had many things in common, but the biggest love for both of us was FOOD and our kids!
We have two children each from our previous marriages, having both been married and divorced.
So we were very fortunate as a dating couple to have one child-free weekend, during which we love to go out for fancy dinners or surprise each other with romantic date night meals.
Then, when we have all four children, as a family of six, you can only imagine we spend a lot of time in the kitchen feeding them or making a 'mess' cooking with them!
In the years we have been together, we have made some amazing recipes, most of which we hand-wrote into a tatty homemade recipe book (which was just a notepad with 'Flawless' written on the front). Hence, the name 'Flawless Food'.
In 2019, Luke decided he wanted a career change, so after much deliberation, Flawless Food was born! We have shared hundreds of our recipes so far and have many more to come!
During our own experience of finding recipes to cook each other, we love the ease of using US imperial measurements. However, we find the UK metric measurements so much more accurate when it comes to some recipes.
So we provide measurements in most of our recipes to suit both our American & British audiences. We also have a handy oven temperature conversion for Fahrenheit to fan oven.
Our kids favourite meals are Cheese and Bacon Turnovers, Easy Cheesy Pasta Bake, Fish Chowder & Gammon Roast with all the trimmings (Yorkshire Puddings, Roast Potatoes, Vegetables with Glaze).
The kids love to get involved with what we are cooking, we try to do a mixture of different dishes, ranging from healthy to really naughty, and lots of different cuisines which we have recreated from our travels.

About Luke from Flawless Food
Luke is a born-and-bred Essex boy who started his career at a young age in the Army. He was a Rifleman, serving in the 2nd Battalion Royal Green Jackets, which he considered the best regiment in the British Army. He served in the UK, Bosnia, Germany and Northern Ireland.
He earned qualifications passing a junior NCO carde, and qualified as a Lance Corporal. He then went on to pass a detachment commander course and defence instructional techniques course.
Upon leaving the Army, he became part owner of an Environmental Company, where he gained a RSPH Level 2 Award and worked for 15 years.
He has 2 boys who mean the world to him and left the Army to spend more time being a family man.
Luke is very active and fitness driven and loves a good meal to help him with his training. He mostly loves savoury foods but can sometimes be coaxed into enjoying something sweet like a slice of Sultana Cake.
He has run two marathons (London & Brighton) and a ½ marathon raising money for the Children's Trust & Breast Cancer Care. In his rare spare time, he loves to go fishing.
He is the structured and regimental one on the team who gets things done! In charge of the schedule, social media, cooking and cleaning up after!
His favourite meal of ours is Persian Lamb Shanks with Saffron Couscous.
Luke has starred on the TV show - Grime Fighters during his environmental work.
About Kay from Flawless Food
Kay was born in London and raised in a quiet village in Surrey. After starting her career in Sainsbury's, where she quickly worked her way into store management department roles, working her way through many qualifications from Level 3 Food Hygiene, HACCP, first aid and Management training.
She furthered her career by working in food marketing for a Food Broker Company, The Food Masters, where she studied numerous marketing courses and became the Marketing Manager. She then progressed onto accounting courses and now works as the Accounts and Marketing Manager.
She has two children: a teenage girl who is the fussiest eater you can imagine and a boy who loves his mum's cooking! They are homeschooled and love the more relaxed learning style at home.
So far Kay and the kids have studied and earned GCSE qualifications in Biology, English Language, Sociology and Environmental Management. They are halfway through Creative Media OCR and German, and next year they will also be tackling Maths and Physics
Kay loves nothing more than making her family happy. In her very limited spare time, she likes to keep fit by doing Pilates and Yoga.
She loves sweet treats like a cheeky slice of Butterscotch Tart, oh and let's not forget her love of Prosecco or Cocktails.
She is the researcher and creative one who spends more time dreaming of what to do than actually doing it! She is in charge of photography, recipe ideas, blog posts, and making a mess experimenting in the kitchen!
Her favourite recipe of ours Lamb Shish Kebab with Turkish Kebab Salad.
Kay has starred on the front cover of the Hair Dresser Journal magazine during her modelling days!
