We have the best recipe for a layered ombre Sex on the Beach Cocktail for you to make at home.
The perfect combination of Orange juice, Cranberry juice, Vodka, Peach Schnapps and Chambord (or grenadine) poured the right way and topped with fruit for a delicious alcoholic treat
Spring has kicked in and summer is around the corner. Time for having fun and chilling around the pool with fruity alcoholic drinks!
How to make the perfect layered Sex on the Beach Cocktail?
We show you a step by step guide of how to create the separate ombre layers, that gives this Sex on the Beach Cocktail its amazing look!
It's important to follow the instructions to get the perfect two-layer tone. We tried numerous ways and settled with this method as it gave the best effect!
But, don't stress yourself out if it mixes together. The flavours taste best when it is stirred up before consuming anyway!
First up is the beach layer! Vigorously mix Orange juice, Peach Schnapps & 3 blocks of ice together in a cocktail shaker for 10-15 seconds
Pour into a hurricane glass or a highball glass. Fill the glass up with plenty of ice, making sure ice goes right to the top.
This acts as a way to slow down the next layers, preventing them from mixing to give an ombre layered effect.
Now pour vodka over the top of the ice, before mixing the sexy red sunset sky layer.
Finally, Cranberry juice and Chambord (or grenadine can be used instead) mix together gently, with NO ice.
Now pour very slowly over the ice. Try to avoid pouring directly on to the orange juice as it will mix too quick, then you won't have the desired layered effect.
What to use to top cocktail's?
We like to top Sex on the beach cocktail with Maraschino Cherries threaded on a cocktail stick. With a wedge of orange for the extra WOW factor!
After you have taken your Sex on the Beach Instagram worthy cocktail photos.
Make sure you mix it all together and enjoy the deliciousness before the ice melts in the scorching sun.
You don't want to water down the alcohol level too much!!

Is Sex on the Beach strong?
With all the fruit juice and ice added in Sex on the Beach Cocktail, it is hardly recognisable that this is an alcoholic drink!?
You can add more Vodka or Peach Schnapps should you want it to taste stronger?
