How to make Tropical Granola Yoghurt with Fruit
Check out our quick easy slideshow below for how to make a simple no-cook breakfast with Granola, yoghurt and fruit.
No cooking is involved in this breakfast recipe, it's so simple anyone can make it!
Is it Yoghurt or Yogurt?
We are in the UK and the correct British way of spelling is Yoghurt.....
However, I did notice on the carton (Tesco's, UK supermarket) that they actually spell it Yogurt, which is the American spelling.
Whichever you use, do not worry it is the same thing, different spelling!
What to serve yoghurt and granola in?
We serve ours up in a large glass and shared between the 2 of us but you can make them in smaller individual glasses if preferred?
Or use a cup, pot, jar or breakfast bowl instead.
How to present breakfast yogurt parafits
See the step by step guides below to keep it neat we use a disposable piping bag or simply snip the end of a food bag if you don't have a piping bag?
Fill the bag with your chosen curd flavouring ready to pipe.
Now simply add yoghurt in the base, a layer of granola, then pipe the curd around the edge of the glass.
Do not pipe a whole layer of curd as it will be too rich!
Then repeat the process again, yogurt, granola and curd.
Finally, another layer of yogurt, use the back of the spoon to spread it gently over the curd layer.
Now neatly place granola in a crescent moon shape and put your fresh fruit in the space that is left.
Lastly, pop a few more dollops of curd on top to finish off. There you have it your yogurt parfaits are ready to serve.
Granola, Yogurt, Curd and Fruit
Granola
We chose tropical granola which has sultanas, dried papaya, pineapple, banana chips and coconut flakes.
However, you can use any granola or use muesli instead?
You could make your own homemade granola too.
Yoghurt
We used a fat-free Vanilla Yoghurt, but any flavour can be used.
You can use plain natural yoghurt or greek yogurt.
You don't need to use fat-free yogurt try one low in saturated fat or a dairy-free option.
Or for the most delicious breakfast to start the day a thick and creamy full fat vanilla greek yoghurt.
Curd
We used Passion fruit curd from Cherry Tree it has a delicious tropical taste, which works great to give a summer feel.
They also sell loads of other flavoured curds, choose your favourite? Or you could use Jam, Honey or compete instead!?
Check out our strawberry coulis sauce recipe which will work well too.
Fruit
For this parfait recipe, use your favourite fruit, from fresh berries such as strawberries and blueberries. Or tropical fruits like pineapple and kiwi.
Ready to go, grab a spoon and tuck in!
We love this no-cook breakfast, let us know what combination of flavours you make for your yoghurt parafits?

Can I make this for breakfast the night before?
Yogurt parfits are best served straight away, the granola will go soggy if made the night before.
You could cut the fruit and pop the curd in a bag. Simply store sealed in the fridge ready to make it quicker in the morning
Check out our Passion Fruit Thumbprint cookies which use this curd too!
